If there is one thing that the COVID-19 pandemic has taught us, it is that it is in the home that our comfort, security, peace, and happiness lie. When people are cooped up together for long periods of time, with no way of escaping, they will get on each other's nerves, no matter how close the relationship is. Slight irritation can easily turn into anger if there is no release. Impatience may turn into raised voices. Boredom can turn into frustration that finds release in activities that may upset others. These are all normal emotions. We all need our own space and being stuck at home without it for a long period of time can result in unhappiness being expressed in ways that upset others. This often sets off a chain reaction. Hopefully, we will never see a COVID-19 situation again. But having been confined to the house for a long time does show that a home needs to be truly family-friendly. That is one factor that must, along with all the other imperatives, go into home
